Industrial Mastery Pathway
HAVS Advanced: Rail
Tier 2
Operational Overview
This course builds on the HAVS Advanced qualification you already hold, going further into what vibration risk management actually looks like in a rail environment. That includes calculating real exposure across multiple tools and tasks in a single shift, not just one tool used continuously, and managing a workforce that moves between sites rather than staying at one bench.
By the end, you should be able to apply everything from the base course to genuinely rail-specific equipment, constraints, and workforce structures.

Instructional Objectives
- Calculate combined vibration exposure across multiple tools and tasks within a single shift, not just a single continuous tool use.
- Apply the control hierarchy within the real constraints of possession windows and shared equipment pools.
- Track cumulative exposure and competency assurance across a dispersed, multi-site, contractor-heavy workforce.
- Assemble audit-ready evidence spanning multiple sites and shifting personnel.
- Recognise how a real rail-sector case reflects the failure patterns already covered in the general course, applied to this industry.
