Industrial Mastery Pathway
Dust & Fumes Advanced: Rail (MENA)
Operational Overview
Ballast dust, brake dust, welding fume from rail repair, grinding fume from track maintenance, and diesel exhaust from locomotives all combine to create a genuine dust and fumes risk across the rail network. Depot workshops, open track and confined spaces on rolling stock each change how that risk needs to be managed, and the hot, arid climate found across much of the region adds its own variables.
This course builds on your Dust & Fumes Advanced training with content specific to rail work in this region. You'll work through the practical exposure benchmark used to demonstrate the general duty of care is being met, and cover the practical realities of managing exposure across the network.
