Operational Overview
The main course gave you the general picture: dust and fume hazards, the hierarchy of controls, and a benchmark exposure limit that is widely used but not, on its own, the law. On an Abu Dhabi platform, that changes. There is a real binding standard here, and on an ADNOC-regulated installation there are two of them working together.
This annex walks through both. You will see how Abu Dhabi's emirate-wide framework sets a legal exposure standard, how ADNOC layers its own exposure limit rules on top for offshore work, and how monitoring and medical surveillance duties are shared between national law, the emirate and the operator.
This is not a repeat of the general course. Treat it as the piece that turns a benchmark you were told about into the actual standard that applies to you on this platform.
