Industrial Mastery Pathway
Dust & Fumes Advanced: Nuclear (UK)
Operational Overview
Working on a nuclear licensed site means managing dust and fume hazards you'd recognise from any industrial setting, welding fume, cutting and grinding dust, solvent vapours, alongside a genuine legacy of asbestos in older facilities.
This course builds on your foundation dust and fumes training and applies it specifically to nuclear sites, where the Office for Nuclear Regulation enforces the same COSHH framework used elsewhere in the UK, rather than the Health and Safety Executive doing so directly.
You'll leave knowing exactly how these conventional hazards are controlled and monitored, and how they're genuinely different from the radiological hazards covered under a separate regulatory regime.
