Dust & Fumes Advanced: Nuclear (Canada)

Dust and fumes at a nuclear facility aren't always what you'd expect. Alongside ordinary workplace hazards, you're also managing airborne contamination, dust that may carry radioactive material.

This course builds on your foundation dust and fumes training and applies it specifically to nuclear facilities, where the Nuclear Safety and Control Act and its Radiation Protection Regulations govern radiological dust and contamination.

You'll leave with a practical understanding of where these hazards come from, how the ALARA principle shapes control decisions, and what's expected of you around monitoring, protection and reporting.
