HAVS Advanced: Mining (AU)

Tier 2

Operational Overview

Rock drills, jumbo drills, roof bolters, angle grinders. Every shift on a mine site puts vibrating tools into someone's hands, and every one of those tools carries a real, cumulative risk to the nerves, blood vessels and joints of the hand and arm.

This course builds on the foundation HAVS knowledge you already hold and applies it directly to mining work. You will look at the specific tools and tasks that drive exposure underground and in open-cut operations, the legal duties that sit with your role, and the practical steps that keep hands working for a full career, not just a shift.
