Industrial Mastery Pathway
Dust & Fumes Advanced (Norway)
Operational Overview
Dust and fumes are some of the most common, and most underestimated, hazards in Norwegian general industry. Under Forskrift om tiltaks- og grenseverdier, exposure to substances like respirable crystalline silica is governed by binding legal limit values, not just general guidance.
This course builds on your foundation training and applies it directly to the tasks you encounter day to day, from cutting and grinding stone or concrete to sanding wood and welding metal. You will learn how exposure is actually measured against the Norwegian grenseverdier, what those figures mean for your working day, and how to use the full control hierarchy rather than relying on a mask alone.
Dust and fume-related lung disease develops slowly and is frequently irreversible once established. This course is about making sure prevention happens before that point, on a real worksite, not just on paper.
