Operational Overview
Unlike some other annexes in this course family, Abu Dhabi actually gives you a specific, sourced number for respirable crystalline silica. OSHAD-SF's own Standards and Guideline Values document sets it at 0.025 mg/m3, time-weighted average, taken from ACGIH's Threshold Limit Values, not from OSHA's exposure limit the way you might expect.
Two things make this figure worth extra care. First, crystalline silica carries a suspected human carcinogen classification in the same document, which brings a stricter duty than simply staying under the number. Second, the document that sets this figure explicitly describes itself as a non-mandatory guideline, even though the obligations built around it read like binding duties.
This annex sits on top of your Silica Dust Advanced foundation course. It doesn't repeat general silica control principles. It confirms exactly how Abu Dhabi's framework actually works, including the parts that don't fit a simple template.
