Noise Advanced: Saudi Arabia Annex
Operational Overview
If you've worked through the BC or Ontario annexes, this one runs differently, and it should. Saudi Arabia doesn't have a dedicated, prescriptive noise regulation with a specific numeric threshold written into law the way those jurisdictions do.
What it has instead is a general duty principle under the Saudi Labor Law. Employers must take all reasonably practicable measures to protect workers from occupational hazards, full stop. Noise is one of those hazards, and 85 dB(A) is the figure the Kingdom's own occupational health practice and research consistently uses as the practical benchmark, but it's a widely adopted reference point, not a number you can point to in a specific statutory clause the way you can with BC's Part 7.
This annex sits on top of your Noise Advanced foundation course. It teaches you how to build genuinely defensible compliance under a general duty framework, which is a real and valuable skill in its own right, not a lesser version of a prescriptive-standard jurisdiction.
