Dust & Fumes Advanced: Saudi Arabia Annex

Tier 2

Operational Overview

Your foundation course explained that each MENA country places its own general duty on employers. In Saudi Arabia, that duty is genuinely split between two separate government bodies, each responsible for a different half of the picture.

The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development enforces workplace safety, physical hazards and working conditions. The Ministry of Health separately owns occupational health, including the medical surveillance side of dust and fume exposure. Satisfying one does not automatically satisfy the other.

This annex assumes you have already completed the foundation course. It builds directly on the general duty of care and the ACGIH practical benchmark covered there.
