Construction projects are excluded from the Designated Substances regulation that sets silica limits for most workplaces. That does not mean construction has no binding limit. A separate regulation, Ontario Regulation 833, governs construction instead, carrying its own binding numeric limit. Knowing which regulation actually applies to your site matters.
