Industrial Mastery Pathway
Silica Dust Advanced (AU)
Tier 2
Operational Overview
Silica is one of the most common materials on any Australian worksite, and one of the most serious hazards. Cutting, grinding, crushing or blasting silica-bearing material releases a fraction of dust so fine it bypasses the body's natural defences and lodges deep in the lungs.
Unlike some regions, Australia has a single binding national exposure standard that applies across every state and territory. This course builds the foundation every worker needs before moving to any industry-specific silica course.
