Occupational health and safety in Canada is not governed by one single national law. Each province and territory runs its own legislation, and federally regulated workplaces follow a separate federal regime again. What counts as a legal exposure limit in one jurisdiction is guidance, not law, in another.

This course covers the part that does not change no matter where you work in Canada. How silica and fume exposure actually harms the body, how the hierarchy of controls decides what protects you first, and how to select and maintain a respirator correctly under the national CSA standard that most provinces already build their own rules around.

This is the foundation course. Once you finish it, complete the annex for your own jurisdiction (Federal, Ontario, or British Columbia) to get the specific legal exposure limit and citations that actually apply to your workplace.
