Project Management Applications: Renewables

Renewables projects answer to a landscape most project managers never encounter elsewhere. Work often takes place at sea, where a construction campaign depends entirely on a weather window rather than a fixed shift pattern. The finished asset cannot generate a single pound of revenue until a grid connection has been formally accepted, and the project itself frequently faces legal challenge before construction can even begin.

This course walks through the project management disciplines that are genuinely different in renewables: navigating consenting and legal challenge, planning around weather-constrained marine access, managing grid connection risk, and the often-underestimated commissioning phase. You will work through real decision points and a case study drawn directly from a major UK offshore wind programme.
