Industrial Mastery Pathway
Benefits Management
Tier 1
Operational Overview
A project can finish on time, on budget and to specification, and still fail. If the benefits it was meant to deliver never actually materialise, the project has not truly succeeded, whatever the delivery metrics say.
This course builds on the communications skills you already have, and focuses on how genuine value gets defined, tracked and actually realised, often well after the project itself has formally closed.

Instructional Objectives
- Understand outputs versus benefits. See clearly why finishing a project is not the same as delivering its value.
- Learn to define and track benefits. Build confidence setting measurable, realistic benefit targets.
- Know who owns realisation. Understand why benefits ownership often extends beyond the project team.
- Avoid the delivery trap. Recognise the risk of treating project closure as the finish line.
