Operational Overview
AI is not a future concern on UK construction sites, it is already at work. Computer vision cameras flag missing hard hats. Generative design tools score dozens of layout options in the time a person would need for one. AI copilots summarise site photos, emails and daily reports.
This course builds on AI at Work: Foundations to look specifically at how these tools show up in construction, and at a risk that is easy to underestimate: an AI system can sound completely confident while being wrong, and in construction, being wrong about something that gets covered up by the next stage of work is a different order of problem than being wrong about something you can still see.
